Pilgrims Route to Santiago
The 'Camino de Santiago' was the most important pilgrimage route in medieval Europe. From the last quarter of the 10th century ones sees the revival of the pilgrimage to Santiago. Its current importance and popularity is thanks to its eminently spiritual value.
In 1993 the Camino de Santiago was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
The French route enters Spain at Roncesvalles and is without doubt the finest part of the Camino. Tandem is found in the fourth stage of the French route, 80 km from Roncesvalles and 758 km from Santiago de Compostela. The pilgrim will have 28 days travel to look forward to from our winery.
